The grapes are sourced from around Puligny and a part of the Blagny hamlet on gentle east-facing slopes. The wines of Puligny-Montrachet are generally characterised by greater firmness and depth than those of Meursault and greater refinement and delicacy than those of Chassagne.
Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly, they ferment in oak barrels produced by our cooperage. 1/3 are new barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months on fine lies before bottling
Little fresh lemon colour with a very pretty and stylish nose. Old chardonnay vines, over 80 year old, always gives this finesse. Altogether a very classy wine, with a huge weight of fruit behind. This is very impressive.
