WineOnline.ie have partnered with Glass Bag Collection!
At WineOnline.ie we ship hundreds of glass bottles on a daily basis throughout the country. We are increasingly conscious that there is an onus on each and every one of us to ensure that we all recycle our glass in a responsible way. So when we met the guys from Glass Bag Collection we thought it was a perfect service to bring to our customers.
Glassbag.ie is a residential glass collection service aimed at providing households with an alternative to the bottle bank for getting rid of their household glass waste. It was started by Mark Gilroy & David Fallon, in response to how difficult they felt it was to recycle all the glass they were using throughout the month. Not only that but it seemed like every time they went to the bottle bank it was full and overflowing. And so, they decided to do something about it!
How does it work?
Glass Bag Collection now helps households in the greater Dublin area (more areas to be added soon!) to effectively and responsibly recycle their glass waste. They collect tonnes and tonnes of glass every month and make sure that every bottle and piece of glass they collect gets properly recycled or upcycled to contribute to the circular economy. To ensure this, they have partnered with a two local businesses; Batt Glass Recycling Ltd and Glint Glass Studio.
You can sign up for a once off collection or a monthly collection from your home. If you have bought wine from WineOnline.ie recently, and are living in the greater Dublin area, you should have received a flyer with our special customer discount code.
Please get in touch if you didn't receive it but would like to hear more!

Did you know.....
Glass is the only packaging material available that is 100% inert and 100% recyclable. Unlike other packaging that leach chemicals that are hazardous to your health and change the way your food tastes; glass preserves and protects your food without adding anything. Not only that, glass is made from all natural materials and is infinitely recyclable without a loss in quality or purity. Pretty cool eh?!
