In an article all about influential women in wine, it would be crazy not to talk about Caroline Latrive. The youngest woman to become Cellar Master in the hugely prestigious Champagne region, this is a formidable female winemaker who has achieved so much in her own industry and for women in other sectors.

With a degree in biochemistry, a Masters in Oenology & Champagne, 12 years experience at famous Champagne Houses such as Bollinger, and being the Cellar Master at Champagne Ayala, Caroline certainly knows her stuff and is a true visionary in her field. Throughout her career, her ethos has always been to promote equality in the workplace and empower the women around her, which she extends to the food industry through her partnership with SquareMeal that celebrates the UK’s top female chefs at an annual award ceremony.
