The family-run Worthy Park Estate was established in 1670, and started producing rum as early as 1741. Although it was a highly successful distillery, the glut of Jamaican rum after WW2 meant that it ceased production in the 1960s. It was completely rebuilt in 2004, and brought its flagship Rum-Bar Rum to market in 2007. Every step of rum production is handled in house, from sugar cane cultivation on more than 4,000 acres of land, to processing the molasses and piping them over a kilometre to be distilled. Worthy Park focusses on traditional Jamaican pot still rums and its popularity is growing day by day.

Description
Discover the unique fusion of tropical fruits and subtle French flair in the limited edition "Special Cask Series (Calvados Finish)" from Jamaica's renowned Worthy Park distillery. Distilled in the Double Retort Pot still of the distillery in Jamaica then aged in ex bourbon barrels in 2012, and transferred to Calvados barrels in 2020, then bottled at 45% ABV. Revel in the harmonious marriage of Caribbean funk and Normandy orchards, captured in a bottle just waiting to enrich your rum adventures. Perfect for aficionados seeking a distinctive expression of a well-loved distillery. A rum worth savoring.

Nose: The influence of the Calvados barrels is immediate on the nose. This combination with traditional Worthy Park notes is reminiscent of a fruit basket; tropical fruit flavours of banana and naseberry mixed with apples and floral notes. Sweet caramel, a little vanilla and cinnamon are rounded out with a subtle smokiness.

Palate: You are greeted with a more subdued sweetness with an intricate blend of those fruit flavours coming through, masterfully balanced against the full-bodied potency of the rum.

Finish: An almost menthol like cooling which lingers with the finish, coupled with faint hints of caramel and dark chocolate.
