The Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach collection teams the skill of Midleton distillers with the majesty of Irish oak. Each release sees premium Midleton whiskey matured in barrels made from sustainably sourced virgin Irish oak.
For this fifth release, six oak trees from Co Wicklow’s Kilranelagh Estate were used to create a limited number of casks. These casks were filled with a range of fifteen-to-twenty-eight-year-old single pot still whiskeys previously matured in American oak barrels. The result is six truly unique whiskeys, and this collection features all six trees from the Dair Ghaelach release. It would be a very welcome addition to any whiskey connoisseur’s collection.
