Description:
Ben Sichel, winemaker at Angludet, described a particularly challenging time for yields  in 2023, with the heat of 2022 as the root cause of a significant drop in yield compared with many other properties. The quality however, is exceptional. There is 17% Petit Verdot in the blend, which gives a lush core to the wine and a pretty, juicy character. There's silky tannin backing the fresh raspberry fruit, and a clean, pure finish. This is a mid-term Margaux of high quality, it's organic traits very much to the fore. 5-15 years.

TASTING NOTES
" A polished and in-check red with blackberry, dark-chocolate and walnut aromas and flavors. It has a medium body, creamy and round tannins and a savory finish. Well done for this estate. Better than 2022.."

"A very elegant wine from Chateau d'Angludet in 2023. Great ripeness, juicy and plummy fruits with superb acidity and finely integrated tannins that will help this wine evolve gracefully. A Lovely mid palate giving depth. Elegant and approachable with potential for a good 10 - 15 years ahead"
