Ziobaffa is the Tuscan wine project created by musician and environmental advocate Sting together with the Trudie Styler Foundation. Produced from organically farmed vineyards in Tuscany, the wines reflect a commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and responsible agriculture. The vineyards benefit from Tuscany’s warm Mediterranean climate and are planted on well-drained clay, limestone and sandstone soils that encourage balanced ripening and concentration. Ziobaffa wines are certified organic and vegan friendly, with vineyard management focused on preserving soil health and minimising environmental impact. The 2020 vintage delivered healthy fruit with excellent ripeness and freshness, producing approachable and expressive wines.
TASTING NOTES
The Pinot Grigio grapes were harvested around the middle of August in the hilly vineyards surrounding the Mediterranean sea, located on the sunny island of Sicily on beautiful soil with a mix of limestone and white chalk. The grapes are then fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks for a long period to preserve the complexity of the aromas.
Plump and juicy, zesty with tangy favours of Meyer lemon, honeycrisp apple, pickled ginger and white stone. A delicious Pinot Grigio, a little more rich and full than the same wines produced in the North Italy.
