Villa Margon, which takes its name from the splendid sixteenth century complex where the Lunelli Group entertains its guests, and Pietragrande, the most recently launched of the Trentino wines, are expressions of Chardonnay and of the family’s long experience with this variety. 

If you like Chardonnay for its complexity and character, but you do not like the overwhelming buttery and oaky notes of some of the “big” Chardonnays from Napa, you may like to try this Villa Margon from the Lunelli family (winemakers of the Ferrari wines). 

Tasting Notes:

Distinguished by its fresh acidity, it is crisp with defined minerality. Deep yellow straw in colour, the nose offers intense notes of pear, bread crusts and white peach. The palate is broad and rich, with complex layers of fruit character before a long finish.

This is a wine that has greatly benefited from a couple of years in the bottle

Food Suggestion: Enjoy with meaty white fish, creamy pasta and hearty salads.
