The Superior Spanish Two
In this box we present to you two award-winning Spanish wines that give you great quality with amazing presentation.
Galicia is home to what is arguably Spain's greatest white grape, Albariño, which grows on the traditional pergolas throughout the Rías Baixas area of Galicia. Bouza do Rei is one of the best value wineries in Galicia. Aromas of ripe citrus fruit crushed flowers and underlying minerality give way to a fresh, crisp palate of lemon zest, fresh lime, stone fruits and notes of flint soil.
Food matching: Perfect with fish such as baked sea bream with vegetables.
1 x Conde de Valdemar Rioja Gran Reserva
We were going to start with the awards this wine has won but it would be too much like showing off. Fair to say there are a lot. Conde De Valdemar is a wine that most restaurants will have on their list. The wine itself is a single estate wine which means that everything is done onsite...their own vineyards, aging and bottling. This has everything you would want in a Gran Reserve Rioja.
It is elegant, concentrated, complex and it has a really awesome finish.
The nose has dark fruits, balsamic notes, aromatic herbs, vanilla and toast.
The palate is smooth beyond belief and the length...amazing.
Food matching: Have this with roast lamb or vegetable tagine with black olives
