Rioja Garnacha Bodegas Moraza, organic wine, no oak, fresh, elegant rich, yet fruity and very approachable and an ideal partner to lamb. Moraza are in the Rioja Alta, North of the Ebro River with vineyards on a South Exposition. Vineyards are between 450m and 650m with Clay and limestone soils. The unoaked Garnacha is drinking beautifully now, but could be saved for a few years if you wanted to. Garnacha from this altitude is usually nice and spicy with plenty of freshness and this is the case here. Unoaked don’t forget and thoroughly delicious!
Expect notes of tangy hibiscus, Morello cherry and black pepper, in this light, bright sappy wine.
Food Matches: Pork, chorizo, Manchego cheese or a bean Chilli.
