Natterjack The Mistake Whiskey

A year ago, Natterjack Irish Whiskey discovered some whiskey barrels had been aged an extra year by accident, and they became The Mistake. This year, they’re making The Deliberate Mistake.   Our limited-release heavily oaked Irish whiskey was simply a happy accident that sparked innovation. We mistakenly left our whiskey in 46 of our virgin American oak casks..

This heavily oaked version of Natterjack has sweet, rich aromas of heather honey, beeswax candles, vanilla, graham cracker, seasoned oak, and toasted coconut. Silky textured on the palate, with honey, vanilla, Creamsicle, Jaffa orange, toasted oak, and vanilla pod, becoming increasingly dry with gingersnap and licorice. Resinous oak, caramel, aniseed balls, and ginger on the finish. It makes a great introduction to Irish blends for bourbon diehards.
