Meet the Winemaker | Bodegas Navajas | Thursday 11th March 2027
WineOnline.ie are delighted to have Leyre Cordón Moreno join us for a Bodegas Navajas Wine Dinner
Bodegas Navajas is a family-owned winery in the village of Navarrete, Rioja Alta, founded in 1918. Originally established as Bodegas Arjona, the estate was taken over by the Navajas family in 1978 and has remained in their hands ever since. What sets Navajas apart is its meticulous attention to detail at every stage of production — from closely monitoring the vineyards of its network of small growers across Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja, to hand-crafting classic, structured wines using traditional and modern techniques side by side.
Leyre Cordón Moreno is the Export Director at Bodegas Navajas, bringing over 10 years of experience in the wine trade. Before joining Navajas, she held export roles at Bodegas Piedemonte and Tobelos, where she built a reputation as a skilled communicator and a trusted partner to international customers. WineOnline.ie have been the exclusive Irish importers of this winery for over 7 years and have the wines enjoy an incredibly loyal following from consumers and trade across the country.

Navajas' wines are grown across 150 hectares in Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja, with grapes vinified in the estate's modern, purpose-built winery before oak ageing in high-toast American oak barrels. The range spans white, rosé and red, with reds released as young wines, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva — all built for balance, structure and true ageing potential, staying faithful to the estate's founding principle of "Making Quality Wines.”
On the night you will get to try the following wines:
Bodegas Navajas Blanco, Rosado & Tinto
Bodegas Navajas Crianza Blanco, Crianza Tinto
Bodegas Navajas Reserva
Bodegas Navajas Gran Reserva
Bodegas Navajas 100 Year Anniversario
Expect an evening immersed in the tradition and craftsmanship of a century-old Rioja family winery, tasting through the wines over an enjoyable, informal and informative three course meal.
It will begin at 7.00pm and finish at circa 10.30pm. We will email you the day before the event with final instructions and a reminder, and we look forward to welcoming you and your guests!
