Louis Jadot is one of the Premier Negociant names in all of Burgundy. Established in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, the house as went on to create wines from many of the most prized vineyards in all of Burgundy.
For the last twenty years, Maison Louis Jadot has banned the use of any synthetic product on its vineyards (herbicides, pesticides, etc), favouring traditional viticultural techniques. They strive to maintain environmental balance in all their vineyards, and 15ha of Jadot’s property in the Côte d’Or is farmed biodynamically.
Meursault marks the beginning of the Great White Burgundy trio of itself and the two Montrachets, Puligny and Chassagne. Grown on limestone and Jurassic Marl, the vines obtain amazing depth which bring about delicious flavours, colours and structure in the wines.
Tasting Notes:
Unctuous texture and a palate of honeysuckle, lime, bracken and hazelnuts with developing butter and dairy notes, almonds and a sort of fat and silky balance. Really, really delicious.
