A single bottle of 'La Petite Chapelle', In a wooden box.
The grapes from the various plots of this estate, situated on the Hermitage hill, are vinified separately, right up until the final blending, which takes place one year after the harvest. This is how we create our two red Hermitage wines: “La Chapelle” and “La Petite Chapelle”. The first vintage was 2001.
The Syrah vines are planted in rich and varied soils with very diverse terroirs (les Bessards, les Greffieux, le Méal and les Rocoules).
It is the richness of these different terroirs that provides 'La Petite Chapelle' with its complexity.
Grapes are brought down from the slopes of l’Hermitage on small sledges, after which they are sorted by hand and vinified traditionally.
Final blending is carried out during the ageing process and is done through judicious selection from the different terroirs of l’Hermitage.
