Aged for a minimum of 12 months in French oak barriques, it is a structured and powerful red that has a wonderful sense of balance, perfume and complexity. Very smooth and though it's serious, it's extremely approachable.

Tasting Note:  
This premium Herdade dos Grous offering is a deep, concentrated plummy wine with multi layered aromas. Wonderfully mature and well integrated fruit then hints of toast, spice and tobacco aromas comes from 16 months in French barrels. Full-flavoured, good concentration with a firm yet developed tannin structure which permits further aging and improvement in the bottle.

Food Pairing: Perfect match with Alentejo rich cuisine. Black pig, cured meats, roast pork and lamb. Tomato based rich stews.
