Description:
Finca Museum is the Cigales estate of the Barón de Ley group, set at around 800 metres in a region of harsh continental climate, with hot summers, cold winters and day to night temperature swings of up to 20°C. Its old vineyards, many over 70 years of age, are planted on calcareous clay covered with large stones.
The Reserva is made from very old vines and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
An intense nose of juicy red fruits such as currant and blueberry, with liquorice, ginger and sage and mineral, gently spicy notes. Powerful and vibrant on the palate, with layers of flavour, well-integrated tannins and a long finish.
Food Pairing:
Roast lamb, beef, game and hard sheep's cheese.
