As well as having a lighter body than other versions of Coravin, the firm described the Model One as having ‘young and friendly design features’.
At €199, It is €100 cheaper than other models, so what is it missing? It Just does not have the platinum finish or parts that other models have - however, it does exactly the same thing for you, accessing your wine when you want it.
First, a thin, hollow needle passes through the foil and cork to access the wine. Then the bottle is pressurized with argon, an inert gas in the air we breathe that winemakers have been using for years. The argon pressurization pushes the wine through the needle so that it flows into your glass without letting any oxygen in the bottle. Once the needle is removed, the cork naturally reseals itself, and the remaining wine continues to evolve naturally.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX
-Coravin One (Fast Pour Needle now included)
-Two (2) Coravin™ Capsules (pressurized argon gas)
-Needle Clearing Tool
