Description:
Celler del Roure is a personal project of Pablo Calatayud, whose vineyards are located in Moixenet, Do Valencia. In the last decade, he invested a lot of energy in restoring the XVII century underground cellars with the original amphorae (600-2800 l capacity), which he uses for fermentation and aging. He focuses on reviving almost extinct varieties like Mando and Verdil as well as working with Monastrell, Macabeo, PX and Chardonnay.

Safra is a blend of Mando and the once nearly forgotten Arcos variety. First vinified in stainless steel, the wine is then aged in ancient buried clay amphorae. 

Tasting Notes:
Red wine with the soul of a white, this is a floral aromatic, and complex wine. Bright, fresh red fruits with sour cherry notes and a hint of balsamic. Long, serious, deep, and very, very tasty.
