Barone Ricasoli Castello di Brolio Gran Selezione is a premium Tuscan red wine produced by the historic winery of Ricasoli, situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. The wine is made using a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes, sourced from the best vineyards on the estate that benefit from the ideal soil, climate, and altitude. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, which impart complex notes of spice, vanilla, and toasted oak to the rich fruit flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry. The result is an aristocratic wine with excellent structure, depth, and elegance that reflects the terroir and winemaking skills of Ricasoli.
Intense ruby red colour. Complex nose with fruity aromas of red fruits, plums, balsamic hints and vanilla scents. The entry is firm but elegant, with sweet tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long with excellent persistence. It is the “grand vin” of Brolio.
