Michael O'Boyle has been rightly getting plaudits in the Irish spirit drinking community for his small batch releases of whiskey, poitín, gin and rum. His mission is "Craft & Quality, Small Pot - Big Flavours"

One of the smallest distilleries in Ireland, Baoilleach Distillery takes pride in producing high-quality handcrafted spirits that capture the spirit of Donegal and its illustrious distilling history. They use a direct fire and a small copper still, all manually operated, in producing a batch. There are between 250 and 350 bottles in a batch, and each batch requires several spirit distillations.

The second whiskey release from Baoilleach, 'An Dara' is a vatting of Irish Whiskies from three casks, a light peated mixed mash bill in bourbon quarter cask, unpeated Mixed Mash bill in a Oloroso butt and a heavily peated Single Malt in a Oloroso Hogshead. Bottled at 46.2%, this second whiskey release from Baoilleach is limited to 150 bottles.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich Oloroso sherry sweetness, creamy vanilla, and a distinct kick of campfire smoke.
Palate: A balanced blend of dark fruit and malt, carrying forward the nutty sherry influence alongside earthy, warming peat smoke.
Finish: Lingering warmth with fading smoke and subtle spice.
