Description: 

Attis winery is located in the small village of Meaño, in the center of the Salnés Valley on the Mount Penaguda foots and in front of Arosa and Pontevedra Estuaries. Its history goes back almost half a century. The Albariño, which today is produced in the modern facilities of the current winery, vineyards born from humble families of the Farina family. Production grew annually until in 2000 they decided to settle as a company under the Designation of Origin Rias Baixas. Their wines, made by the French enologist Jean-François Hébrard, the tables have conquered three continents, highlighting the individuality of its Albariños, respecting above all the typical characteristics of the variety.

Vineyard: From the oldest family vineyard, traditionally trained in a pergola. Vines planted on granitic Entisols with a sandy-loamy character. Northwest exposure with direct Atlantic influence.

Soils: Granite weathering soil (Entisol) with sandy-loamy structure

Orientation: Northwest

Climate: Atlantic climate with maritime influences. The 2023 vintage was characterized by a good balance between ripeness and freshness, supported by the nighttime cooling, which promoted intense flavors and excellent aging potential.

Vinification: Hand-harvested in perforated 15 kg crates, manual selection upon arrival at the winery. Complete destemming, gentle pressing, cold clarification, and selection of the must. Spontaneous fermentation in French oak barrels.

Maturation: 12 months on the fine lees with regular batonnage in the same barrel, followed by clarification with fish isinglass

Tasting Note: Intense straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose is very intense, deep, and complex – ripe white fruits (apricot, Williams pear, vineyard peach) combined with delicate roasted nut aromas, spicy notes, and mineral and smoky hints. Dense and powerful on the palate, carried by precise acidity, great freshness, and impressive persistence. A wine with plenty of personality and excellent aging potential.

Food pairing: Ideal with fine fish dishes, seafood, scallops, creamy risottos, poultry, and mature soft cheeses. A perfect accompaniment to fine dining.
