Description:
Abtole was the original name of the old Rioja town of Autol, and is home to Bodegas Marques de Reinosa, who makes this excellent generous Rioja loaded with plenty of fruit and toasty vanillin characters from the 24 months aging in French and American oak.
Adrian Serrano Reserva is an expressive interpretation of classic Rioja – the grape variety is mainly Tempranillo , maturation in oak barrels (French and/or American) and further ageing in the bottle give this wine structure and elegance.
Tasting Note:
Reserva is garnet red with a brownish hue. French and American oak are used during the long oak aging process. A complex and velvety wine, with plenty of red berries in the aroma. Beautiful warm spices and a light aroma of the undergrowth shine through their shadow. The taste is round, mineral and berry, with a note of cocoa in the aftertaste. Long and full, with soft ripened tannins.
Food Matches:
An excellent companion to veal steak, beef ribs and long-braised lamb shanks
