Selected from the oldest vine plants of the domain. Deep garnet red with complex aromas of dark cherry and soft spices. The tannins are present but well integrated and soft. Mid palate has characteristic savoury notes and the finish is on red fruit coulis with a hint of bitter chocolate.
The colour is dense ruby with a garnet rim. On the nose it is spicy, with pronounced blackcurrant aromas and a vanilla underlay. The palate is supple, well rounded with firm tanins and very well balanced. Drinking well now but will evolve even further with bottle age.
