As 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to reflect that it has been a great year for new wines. I’ve been lucky to attend many wine tastings during the year but interestingly, the exposure to new wines also reminds me how great old reliables are too.
With that in mind – I have picked my six favourite wines for festive occasions. In my house there is always people calling in and some evenings go on longer than expected, so I always want to have one reliable red and white wine available should I get caught unaware.
My definition of a reliable wine is one that will please the aficionados but won’t break the bank if I open plenty of bottles either. A wine that offers quality and value, both in abundance!
There have been a few new wines in our portfolio of wineries we are working with directly too, and we are proud to be working with these. My Festive favourites comprise a mix of old favourites and new wines that have inspired me too. I have chosen the wines below with the festive season in mind and each of them are on promotion right through December. Have a great Christmas and I hope you get to try a few of them!
