Description:
Merseguera is a little-known white wine grape variety grown along the south-eastern coast of Spain. Plantings are relatively few, and centred on the vineyards of Alicante.

This is a wonderful wine made by Wine Maker Joan Guia, the grapes are from 40+ year old vines located in a single plot of 1 hectare
located in the municipality of Biar. Its a wine that is then fermented in barrel for 9 months. 

Wines made from Merseguera are rarely seen anywhere outside Spain.

Tasting Notes:
The Merseguera grape produces wines with more than a passing resemblance to white wines from Southern Burgundy. Stone fruit (white peach), melon with creamy and nutty notes, a lovely rich mouthfeel and fresh finish.
