Abtole Rioja Reserva
Rioja Alta, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Made using 100% estate-grown Tempranillo from vineyards in the premium sub-region of Rioja Alta, and given Gran Reserva-like treatment in the winery, this is a seriously good Rioja! The grapes for this wine come from own vineyards which surround the winery. The first release was over 100 years ago in 1904, and they have since been producing high quality, classic 100% Tempranillo Riojas. Bursting with blackberry and raspberry fruit, the palate is clean, intense and persistent. Perfectly balanced with soft velvety tannins it is delicious from start to the long finish. This traditional style of Rioja will be a superb complement to Catalan-style charcuterie or cured meats.

Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva
Elciego, Rioja, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Marques de Riscal Reserva is a deep cherry red in colour with a bouquet of ripe dark fruit and spicy toasted oak. There is good structure on the palate, which is full and rounded with elegant tannins. The finish is long, leaving a nice taste of oak behind. Marques de Riscal Reserva pairs well with most red meats, poultry, grills, roast and mild cheese.

Cecios Rioja Reserva
Rioja, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
92 Parker Points. Gold Medal at International Wine Challenge. This delicious wine has been aged in for 24 months in oak which adds a lovely complexity to the wine. A stylish beautifully balanced wine with concentrated plums, strawberries, vanilla and coffee on the palate. This is a real treat, with meaty flavours, sensual and warm - Rioja to sooth the soul.

Ramon Bilbao Rioja Reserva
Haro, Rioja, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Bodegas Ramón Bilbao is situated in a privileged location: Haro, in Rioja Alta, a paradise where Rioja’s emblematic grape variety, Tempranillo, grows best. From vines with an average age of 40 years, this concentrated, intense Rioja is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. This soft and supple wine is vibrant ruby in colour with aromas of red cherry and blackberry fruit and slight hints of vanilla on the medium bodied palate. Well structured with a long and pleasant finish which would be ideal with red meat stews and cheeses.

Castillo de Eneriz Reserva
Navarra/Rioja, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Vic Manzanos has a nose for wine, and given his Rioja estate already straddles the border of Rioja and Navarra, he thought adding a very good Navarra estate would be exciting. 18 months in barrel and a full 6 years in bottle make this a real cracker! Rioja without the name and price tag, made by a master of Rioja! This wine balances oaky character with fruitiness and hints of spice with a finish as lengthy as you would expect from a classic reserva.

Bodegas Navajas Rioja Reserva
Rioja, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
This reserva is produced from grapes selected from the older bush vines which yield very small amounts of concentrated yet balanced fruit. Hand harvested at optimum ripeness for each site, they are then transported to the winery in small baskets and unloaded by hand into the winery. The barrels are 60% French and 40% American with approximately 35% new and the rest 1 to 2 years. The wine is held in barrel  for a minimum of 18 months prior to barrel selection and blending to make the final wine, which is then assembled and bottled for further ageing of 12 months or longer. Spectacular Reserva wine!
