Description:
L‘Expressió del Priorat is made by the team at Mas La Mola. Their aim was to produce a wine that offers the structure of classic Priorat while being ready to drink young. Most of the fruit comes from younger vines in Mas La Mola’s vineyards, which are supplemented by the two other vineyards that they manage. Farmed organically, the vines are planted on the region’s distinctive llicorella slate soils and have an average age of 20 years old. A blend of 45% Garnatxa, 45% Cariñena and 10% Syrah. Winemaker Jordi Masdeu wants to preserve the freshness of the wine, so the blend is left in stainless steel for eight months before bottling.
