Two Great Sparklings

The Sparkling Twin

€65.00

Two Sparkling wines made by the same method as Champagne just from different parts of the world but tasting every bit as good.
Both of these sparkling wines are excellent substitutes for Champagne and would make a super gift for half the price.
Di Camillo Sparkling Cococciola
Abruzzo, Italy
1 x 75cl Bottle
If you drink Prosecco then you have to have this, made from a grape that you've (probably) never heard of, from an area in Italy more noted for wine made from the Montepulciano grape. The quality far surpasses that of any Prosecco at this price. This sparkling wine has so much flavour, think Citrus, Grapefruit and White Flowers.
This delicious wine works perfectly with shellfish and vegetables. It also works as an appetizer, snack or as an aperitif with cured meats.

Avinyo Vintage Reserva Brut Cava
Penedes, Spain
1 x 75cl Bottle
This fine sparkler could easily be mistaken for a high-end Champagne. Avinyó can trace the lineage of its estate back to 990. Needless to say, quite a lot has changed in the 1000+ year history of the land, but once vineyards were planted in the 16th century, the desire to have grapes on-hand only grew. For this reserve expression, the usual trifecta of Spanish Cava grapes-Parellada, Xarel-lo, and Macabeo-are employed. Pinpoint bubbles display red fruits, roasted apples, and a crisp, mineral-driven finish. This fresh, vibrant sparkling wine showcases ample fruit and notes of fresh baked bread.
