Description:
The new vintage of the wine Condado de Haza from Ribera del Duero proves again the remarkable consistency of this Spanish red wine over the years. A brand of Grupo Pesquera, founded by the late Alejandro Fernández, the Condado de Haza winery has more than 180 hectares of Tempranillo, the sole component of this wine, around the province of Burgos. Planted at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, the vines are around 30 years of age.
The grapes were fully destemmed and macerated with the skins for some weeks. After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, this Crianza red wine was aged for 12 months in American oak barrels. Prior to its commercial release, the wine Condado de Haza Crianza 2022 was aged for some months in the bottle. Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero 30 minutes before drinking.
Tasting Note:
Deep garnet coloured wine with mahogany hue at the rim. Pronounced developed nose of warm blackberry and damson fruits with soft vanilla nuances. Mellow tannin structure with excellent fruit attack and a long lingering finish. A real classic.
