A delicious wine, rich, ripe and robust with excellent weight of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, and bilberry fruits with pepper, spice and liquorice sensations. The structure is soft in the mouth followed by excellent fruit flavours with a hint of vanilla. The tannins are mellow due to maturation in oak barrels. A superb smooth silky wine made from low yielding grapes. While it is drinking beautifully now it would hold cellaring very well for at least 5 years more, always a sign of a classy wine. 92 Parker Points
Domaine de Montine Cuvee 'Emotion'
Rhone, France
2 x 75cl Bottle
With its crimson dark and deep red colour, this wine is clearly full and fleshy.
The discreet first scent will open nicely after pouring in a Decanter. Step by step, Emotion unveils ... Slightly spicy, it reveals some well mastered, fine and elegant aging flavours. It becomes powerful in the mouth, with soft and round tannins that bring beautiful length on the palate. We really make sure this wine is alive and humble, as it is our house flagship. This cuvee perfectly embodies our “Grignan-les-Adhémar” vineyard and its complexity.
Château Des Gravieres, Graves
Bordeaux, France
2 x 75cl Bottle
A French Grand Vin from Graves, Bordeaux, this red wine from Chateau des Gravieres uses hand picked grapes from 30 year old vines cultivated on a 3 hectare gravel soil vineyard. Composed on average of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, the red wines of Pessac-Léognan make a good compromise between marked tannins and the greediness of the fruit. We thus find red and ripe fruits, and empyreumatic notes.

This French wine is absolutely fantastic. It's made from a blend of syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, and carignan grapes. The grapes come from Pic Saint-Loup, which is located north of Montpellier, and it's made by one of the top winemakers in the Languedoc region.
The Chateau Verriere is a Merlot based blend that displays generous ripe fruit and a satisfying bright finish. The wine’s colour inclines to bluish-purple rather than black, while the nose displays lush raspberry and black cherry notes. This precocious wine has great acidity in the finish that leaves you feeling vibrant and invigorated. We loved this vivacious little red and voted 7-0 in the first round to feature it. This is a great value and at this price may become an everyday affair.
