Sancerres are often synonymous with remarkable freshness and limestone aromas. In the Egrots, a small hamlet of Sury en Vaux, about 4 kilometres from Sancerre, Michel and Laurent Thomas farm 17 hectares. They took over the family estate in 1970, which was founded by Michel’s father in 1946.  

Known for its crisp acidity, fresh citrus flavours, and mineral notes, Domaine Michel Thomas Sancerre is dry and light-bodied, with a pale yellow or greenish colour. The wine displays an exotic nose with a touch of smoke and liquorice. On the palate, peach and watermelon dominate with citrus zest and chalk notes.
