The Valiñas estate hillside is one of the locations with greatest winegrowing potential and most scenic significance in Rías Baixas. It is a vineyard of outstanding value. The Valiñas estate belongs to Mar de Frades and spans 2.2 hectares, where we carry out meticulous winegrowing, paying special attention to the health of its well-drained sandstone and granite soils.

Production
The process begins with an extremely selective harvest, designed to preserve as far as possible the qualities of each cluster we pick on this unique estate. The grapes are macerated for 65 hours at 12ºC, without the addition of sulphites, in Ganimede tanks protected by CO2. This method extracts the freshest, most elegant and intense aromas. After fermentation with indigenous yeasts, gentle work with the lees takes place for two years in stainless steel tanks. The wine rests in bottle for another year before being launched onto the market.

Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas 2018 is a vibrant and robust white wine that on the nose presents the quintessential balsamic and saline aromas of Mar de Frades, complemented by nuances of white blossoms, tropical fruits, and hints reminiscent of peanuts and toasted bread. Its palate is assertive, refined, and graceful, culminating in a delightful citrus and saline finish.
