Description: Château Ferrages is located in the village of Pourcieux, near the Montagne Sainte-Victoire in sunny Provence. The estate is owned by Maison M. Chapoutier and is run by Mathilde Chapoutier, who is the eighth generation of her family to make wine. Both AOC Côte de Provence and AOC Côte de Provence Sainte-Victoire wines are produced. 28 hectares are under vine with the red Syrah, Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon and the white Rolle and Clairette grape varieties.
They take a biodynamic approach with some of their vineyards and combine modern vinification techniques with traditional methods for ageing their wines. These are delicious, wonderfully fresh, unpretentious wines.
Food Matches: This wine would pair well with salads and fish – especially sea bream and sea bass. But versatile enough to go with pizza, grilled white meats, seafood, mild creamy cheeses.
