Irene Tolleret moved from marketing for the giant Val d'Orbieu to wine making only three years ago and her first vintages have been quite spectacular. The mas is already developing an international cult following because of the quality of the end results. She is experimenting with the use of oakand her wines are sensational.
She is also a highly regarded French politician working in the European Parliament and winemaking is her hobby. She was elected to the European parliament in 2019. She was previously Mayor of Fontanes in the Herault and she was the leading representative for the community of communes of the grand Pic St Loup, where she grows and makes Mas d'Auzieres Wines. We have been importing these wines from Irene's vineyard since 2014 and they are just great wines - as good as many Chateau Neuf du Pape wines that are more expensive.
