Description:
After an extensive career as a top sommelier culminated in his winning Best Sommelier UK, Franck Massard moved to Spain where he started making wine. His first vineyard, a tiny ½ hectare plot in the Priorat, solidified his commitment to the wines of this region. David Forer MW moved to Spain shortly after completing his studies to become a Master of Wine having a particular interest in the wines of the Priorat.
This joint obsession for the wines of the Priorat and a desire to care for the land led David Forer and Franck Massard to acquire vineyards in 2018. They are on a long journey of understanding this little plot of land and work to craft wines that speak of the individual sites.
Enhancing biodiversity and working with regenerative agricultural methods, their goal is to make wines that speak to the history and heritage of Priorat.
Tasting Note: Medium ruby with a pink rim. Plenty of black fruit on the nose with touches of sweet spices. The wine is very smooth with an excellent concentration of summer berry fruit and a cinnamon aftertaste.. Delicate yet firm tannins, alongside subtle yet lively acidity, contribute to the wine's elegant character.
