Barone Ricasoli Castello di Brolio Gran Selezione is the flagship wine of the historic Ricasoli estate, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. It is made entirely from Sangiovese, selected from the estate's best vineyards around Brolio Castle on three of the area's most characteristic soils: sandstone, galestro and alberese limestone. The wine is aged for 22 months in 500-litre French oak tonneaux, 30% of them new, which frames the rich red fruit with notes of spice and vanilla. The result is an aristocratic wine with excellent structure, depth, and elegance that reflects the terroir and winemaking skills of Ricasoli.

Intense ruby red colour. Complex nose with fruity aromas of red fruits, plums, balsamic hints and vanilla scents. The entry is firm but elegant, with sweet tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long with excellent persistence. It is the “grand vin” of Brolio.
