Chateau de La Commanderie Lalande de Pomerol
The Château de La Commanderie, located in Lalande-de-Pomerol in the Gironde region northeast of Bordeaux, was, in the 12th century, the property of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem and provided shelter for pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela. Their mission was to protect the pilgrims from gangs of robbers.
In 2019, Karine and Jean de Colbert acquired the property, in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation .
The “Cuvée Rubis” is a selection of 4.5 ha from the best plots in the vineyard.
