The estate extends across a terroir of clay-limestone silt, calcareous sand, and clay-sand. The wines produced are distinguished by their character and freshness. Today, the Count and Countess de Colbert, owner and accomplished winemaker, perpetuate this winemaking tradition by producing appellation wines.

Saumur, Saumur Champigny and Crémant de Loire are ranked among the best fine wines of Anjou.

Since 2005, the Count and Countess de Colbert, the current owners and descendants of the De Colbert family, have taken over the management of the Château de Brézé vineyard.

The property is directly managed by the Count and Countess De Colbert, while relying on the advice of Stéphane Derenoncourt's oenology firm for the viticultural and oenological aspects.

The property uses only certified organic products out of respect for the vineyard, the environment and while being mindful of the health of its customers.

The vines are worked under the row and every other row or even every third row in order to promote biodiversity. Implementation of plant biodiversity, installation of beehives, habitat for birds...
