Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with a vision to create Napa Valley wines that would stand in the company of the world’s finest. He chose To Kalon Vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley as the home for Robert Mondavi Winery. This first-growth vineyard, located in Oakville, California, is renowned for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wines in the world.

Robert Mondavi is a Napa Green Certified winery. In partnership with the Napa County Resource Conservation District, we created the Napa Sustainable Winegrowing Group (NSWG) which holds several annual workshops on topics such as water conservation, quality improvement, cover cropping, erosion control and pest management. Robert Mondavi was the first winery to receive an Innovator Award from California's Environmental Protection Agency.

Tasting Note:
This Pinot Noir has a clear ruby red colour. The nose offers a captivating mix of ripe red cherries, violets and Asian spices with notes of sweet tobacco and vanilla. In the mouth it reveals a medium body and soft tannins, which accompany a lingering finish.

Food Matches: This wine is very versatile and pairs well with a range of foods including roast meats, poultry and cheeses.
