Château du Tertre is a Grand Cru Margaux estate located on the left bank of Bordeaux. Since its acquisition in late 1997 by Eric Albada Jelgersma, considerable investments have been made to enhance this exceptional terroir of rare homogeneity.
Château du Tertre oversees a beautiful 45-hectare vineyard within the Margaux appellation. The sandy-clay gravel soils of this exceptional terroir prevent excessive water stress during hot, dry weather by ensuring a constant supply of water.
A seductive 2011, Du Tertre exhibits a dense purple color along with an attractive, fragrant, flowery nose of red and black fruits, licorice and a touch of earth. With good texture, medium body, an excellent finish, and no hard edges, it can be enjoyed over the next 10-15 years.
