Louis Henry Denis Jadot founded Maison Louis Jadot in 1859. Now a sizeable negociant based in Beaune, all the wines made under the Maison Louis Jadot label are appellation contrôlée wines from across the region. The vineyards of Maison Louis Jadot are now scattered across 154 hectares of Burgundy, from the Côte d'Or to the Mâconnais and down into Beaujolais.
For the last twenty years, Maison Louis Jadot has banned the use of any synthetic product on its vineyards (herbicides, pesticides, etc), favouring traditional viticultural techniques. They strive to maintain environmental balance in all their vineyards, and 15ha of Jadot's property in the Côte d'Or is farmed biodynamically.
Tasting Notes:
This Ladoix white is aged in French oak barrels during 14 months. Ripe and rich with lots of fleshy fruits, these flavours are balanced by delicate, smoky savoury oak and a clean minerally acidity. Superb craftmanship.
Food Suggestion: Delicious with a herby chicken and mushroom pie in a light puff pastry crust.
Closure: Natural Cork ABV:13% Classification: AOC
