Description:
Sean O’Callaghan follows a minimal-intervention approach to both farming and winemaking. The vineyards are either certified organic or in the process of conversion, and no commercial yeasts or additives are used during fermentation. Fining and filtration are avoided to preserve purity and texture.

Il Randagio (Stray Dog) is a declassified red, being a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

Il Randagio 2022 is more Tuscan than Merlot-Cabernet-Bordeaux-Epigone right from the start. It is more reminiscent of the Loire. But in fact It has a little of the pansy scent that is typical of Radda. There are also notes of violet, black cherry with a subtle sweetness, red and dark berries and a few plums. Finally, there are herbs, a little leather and some tobacco. Everything is juicy, fresh and at the same time ambitious.

Tasting Notes: This is elegant and fresh with notes of dark berry fruit and plum, fringed by a lick of rustic Italian charm, leather and varnish.
