Raices is a range of wines based solely on indigenous Spanish varieties. Most of these varieties are strongly connected to their particular, native region. Their intention is to bring the beautiful spectrum of Spain's often unknown grape varieties to the consumer. Raices is his ode to authentic Spanish grape varieties. Its roots run deep in the soil and history of one of Europe's oldest wine cultures.

Juan García is a red Spanish wine grape variety native to the Arribes (Fermoselle) region, near the northwestern portion of the Portuguese border. In central Spain the variety is more commonly blended with other red grapes, notably Tempranillo.

Tasting Note: Bright cherry red colour with violet reflections. On the nose there are notes of raspberry, currants and slightly ripe cherries and spices from the barrel aging, as well as a touch of vanilla.
It is a fresh wine in the mouth and the menthol touches typical of the variety stand out. It is a light wine but with persistence.

Best Served with : Great with pasta, red meats, roasted or grilled poultry, cured meats, tapas and tuna or grilled red mullet.
