Niepoort is a family business dating back to 1842. Its winemaking tradition began in the Douro region, with the production of Port wine. Know-how, enthusiasm and an innovative mindset have been passed down from generation to generation, making Niepoort one of the most authentic and notable Portuguese wine producers.
From 1842 up to today, six generations have been writing Niepoort’s history. What unites them is a passion for wine – a passion which respects traditions but does not shy away from embarking on new paths whenever its unbridled creative drive sounds the call. 

The drawings for Sasta are by Fintan Taite, an award winning Irish cartoonist and illustrator who lives and works in Dublin. The wine is pleasant to drink, intense and full of Douro character; it is fresh, fruity and spicy with smooth tannins. 

Tasting Note:
The wine has an intense ruby colour. Earl grey, black berries, hints of graphite and a subtle minty character gives the wine complexity and freshness shows elegance and beautiful acidity.
