Description:

Forward-looking and creative, cooperative Alma Cersius dates back 1937 with the founding of the first cooperative cellar in Cers, where the modern winery exists today. It is a collective of 152 passionate and committed winegrowers who pool their knowledge and expertise, working over 1,300 hectares of vineyards across Cers, Portiragnes, Puimisson and Villeneuve-lès-Béziers. The vineyards benefit from the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea which tempers the heat of the summer months on these alluvial soils made up of pebbles and clay.

The God of this wind, named Cersius, was praised by the Romans for its beneficial qualities on the maturation of the fruit crops.
A blend of 3 rigorously selected grape varieties by tasting the berries:
Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon

Tasting Note:
Intense color with dark purple tints. The nose is rich with notes of
violet, blackcurrant and raspberry followed by spices. Full bodied,
yet fresh and fruity on the palate.

Food Pairing: To be enjoyed with poultry-based dishes such as chicken stew or
roasted duck aiguillettes, will embellish a cheese like Gouda.
