Meet the Winemaker Series | Domaine Chanzy | 14th November
We are really excited to have Julie Duflos join is from Domaine Chanzy on Thursday 14th November. Domaine Chanzy was founded at the beginning of the 20th century but it was only renamed Domaine Chanzy in 1974. This range features an impressive array of wines from top sites in the Cote de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits but the Chanzy name is particularly strong in the Cotes Chalonaise where they have significant holdings in the core appelations of Rully, Mercurey, and the village where they are based, Bouzeron. Within this village Chanzy is the proud possessor of arguably the finest Aligoté vineyard in Burgundy, their monopole site ‘Clos de la Fortune’.
The wines of Domaine Chanzy feature regularly in the worlds best wine competitions and we are thrilled to be introducing them to Ireland. Few Burgundy estates can boast 80 hectares of owned vieyards and this puts Domaine Chanzy in a really unique position where they can control all aspects of viticulture and winemaking, ensuring meticulous care and outstanding quality.
The evening will be hosted by WineOnline.ie and July Duflos of Domaine Chanzy at Bang Restaurant, Dublin 2. The evening starts at 7.30pm and will be held in the private dining room upstairs with a limited capacity of just 38 seats. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy three courses while tasting through over six premium Burgundian wines from Chanzy, including and most certainly not limited to:
