Description:
El Mozo Wines is a small family winery in Lanciego, Rioja Alavesa, founded in 1975. The third generation, Itxaso and Gorka, returned to the family vineyards to carry on their legacy, and the playful Cosmonauta range is their take on old Rioja Alavesa vineyards and traditional field blends, made with as little intervention as possible.

El Paraje 601 is an organic red from a single site, aged for 12 months in barrel and a further 12 months in bottle. Its name nods to the Lanciego tradition of a figure descending from the church tower to open the village fiestas.

Tasting Notes:
Brilliant red. Ripe cherries and raspberries with subtle floral notes and a delicate hint of vanilla and toast. Fresh and juicy on the palate.
