Irene Tolleret moved from marketing for the giant Val d'Orbieu to wine making only seven years ago and her first vintages have been quite spectacular. The mas is already developing an international cult following because of the quality of the end results. She is experimenting with the use of oak in the Bois de Perie. If you like good Chateau Neuf du Pape, This wine is exceptional. Make absolute certain that you try 'Les Eclats' from the same producer

Tasting Note:
This is a dense, Spectacular, full-bodied wine with inviting aromas of dark berries, mocha and herbs.  Intensely flavoured with ripe dark fruit on the palate, the wine is nonetheless dry and balanced, with smooth tannins and refreshing savoury notes on the generous finish. Drink now with BBQ fare, especially grilled steak with herbs, or cellar for 3+ years.
