Domaine de la Motte is a 25 hectare, family-run winery handed down from father to son since 1950. This Chablis shows lots of lovely ripe peach and apricot aromas, caramelized apples and hot stones on the nose. This is followed by generous, pronounced fruit on the palate with nectarine skins and baked peaches balanced firmly by a rounded, lemon-flesh acidity.

Food matches: Chicken with a creamy sauce, Thai dishes, or simply cooked fish with a green salad.

Maison Joseph Drouhin has always had a special affinity for Beaujolais which is part of “Greater Burgundy”, since their pioneering work in the early fifties, has tirelessly promoted it around the world. Out of the 35,000 hectares of gamay planted throughout the world, 22,000 hectares are in the Beaujolais area, spread over 38 villages.

Tasting note: A bright garnet red with watery edge in colour, An aromatic nose with vanilla, leather, dark cherries and slight spice. Multi-layered palate shows ripe cherries and cassis, leather, touch of tobacco, baking spices. Lingering spicy cassis finish.
