Based in Savigny-les-Beaune, this 47-hectare property is controlled and operated by Antonin’s son Dominique and his granddaughter Hombeline. Passionate, Dominique and Hombeline are always looking for better quality and terroir expression. Dominique created a model winery, producing wines of impeccable quality from 25+ different appellations, including some of the most renowned villages of the Côte d’Or.
Terroir
Aloxe-Corton is located in the North of the Côte de Beaune. Its wine area benefits from exposures ranging from East to South. Among the 13 premiers Crus of Aloxe Corton, Les Fournières is the most famous. The Domaine GUYON wine area for Aloxe Corton 1er Cru Les Fournières covers almost 1.35 hectares (3.33 acres) of Aloxe Corton 1er Cru Les Fournières.
Vinification
Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery. Long fermentation during 20 days in wooden open vats, with punching down of the cap and temperature control. Ageing in oak casks (30% new oak) and estate bottling after 18 months.
